Privacy Policy

How MarinePathway collects, uses, and protects your information. Last updated: June 2026.

1. Who we are

The platform is an independent directory of DGS-approved maritime training institutes, courses, RPSL agencies, and medical examiners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated under the DGMA or any government body.

2. What information we collect

MarinePathway does not require you to create an account or log in to use the directory. We collect: (a) server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited, retained for up to 30 days; (b) analytics data via Google Analytics 4, which uses cookies to measure traffic patterns — this data is aggregated and does not identify individuals; (c) any information you voluntarily submit through the Contact form, including your email address and message content.

3. How we use your information

Server log data is used solely to maintain site security and diagnose technical issues. Analytics data is used to understand which pages are most useful so we can improve the directory. Contact form submissions are used only to respond to your enquiry. We do not use your information for marketing, profiling, or any automated decision-making.

4. Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to distinguish users and sessions. These cookies do not contain personally identifiable information. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by adjusting your browser cookie settings. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with: Google Analytics for aggregated traffic analysis; Vercel, our hosting provider; and Supabase, our database provider. None of these providers receive your contact form submissions for their own marketing purposes.

6. Data retention

Server logs are retained for up to 30 days. Contact form submissions are retained for as long as necessary to resolve your enquiry, typically no more than 12 months. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics standard retention settings (14 months by default).

7. Your rights

If you have submitted a contact form and wish to request deletion of that information, please email us at hello@marinepathway.in. We will respond within 30 days. For data processed by Google Analytics, you can use the Opt-out Add-on or request deletion via Google's data deletion tools.

8. Directory data

The institute, course, RPSL agency, and doctor records in the directory are sourced from publicly available government records (dgma.gov.in). This data consists of publicly registered business and professional records. If you believe a record about your organisation is incorrect, please use the Contact page.

9. Children

MarinePathway is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
